Lapbook Mania

As part of our Astronomy Theme for July, I decided to put a Space travel lapbook together to add a little fun and interest during our lessons. Our space ship will be flying through our solar system and we will map our “trip” on our solar system poster we received from The South African Astronomical Observatory (SAAO) as we get to learn all about it.

Our Space Travel lapbook is also in the shape of a rocket ship.

I bought the Chicka Chicka Boom Boom book and audio CD a while ago and I had no idea how I was going to incorporate it in our lessons.  I came across this lapbook on Carisa’s 1+1+1=1 totschool blog and decided to make it for Duncan and to add some more worksheets for him. We will be completing this lapbook in May as part of our Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Theme.

Our Theme for June is Transportation, so I thought I’d give putting my own lapbook together a bash.  I even created my own minibooks.

I got this wonderful idea for an easter lapbook using the Resurrection eggs from the Just Call Me Jamin blog. All the download links are available from that site.  I also ordered the Benjamin’s Box - The story of the resurrection eggs story book to go with it

I bought the Hungry Little Caterpillar book for Corbin a while ago and while I was looking for lapbook ideas for Duncan I came across yet another one of Carisa’s 1+1+1=1 Tot school creations. So, me being in love with the lapbooking idea, made it for Corbin, Duncan particularly loves this one *YAY*

I’ve finally started making lapbooks!

The Tarzan 2 Lapbook, I downloaded from Carisa’s 1+1+1=1 Tot School Blog. Needless to say, I’m quite the fan

Here is my first attempt at a lapbook for Corbin. He isn’t interested in the book at all. So I’ll keep trying to engage him with them till he shows some interest. I’ll also keep making new ones and see which ones tweak his interest, LOL. I’ve also placed the Tarzan 2 DVD on order, hopefully that will help tweak his interest.
